For one of our clients - a leading telecommunications infrastructure company, we are looking for Senior GL Accountant.
* Take ownership of the day-to-day general ledger activities, ensuring accurate and timely financial records;
* Drive the month-end closing process, from journal entries and accruals to adjustments and account analysis;
* Ensure the integrity of financial data through regular reconciliations, identifying discrepancies and driving their resolution;
* Manage VAT and WHT accounting activities, supporting accurate reporting and full compliance with Bulgarian tax regulations;
* Oversee key accounting provisions, including Asset Retirement Obligations (ARO) and IFRS 16 lease accounting;
* Partner with internal teams, external advisors, auditors, and tax specialists to support reporting, compliance, and audit requirements;
* Contribute to finance transformation and process improvement initiatives, including Oracle optimization, internal controls, and cross-functional finance projects.
* Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline;
* 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, ideally within an international or shared service environment;
* Solid expertise in general ledger accounting, VAT, WHT, ARO, IFRS 16, and Bulgarian accounting and tax legislation;
* Strong understanding of local Bulgarian tax and financial reporting requirements;
* Hands-on experience with ERP systems; Oracle experience is a strong advantage;
* Excellent Excel and MS Office skills, combined with strong analytical thinking and attention to detail;
* Fluent English and confident communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with international stakeholders; ACCA or another recognized finance qualification is a plus.
