Through its subsidiary ProCredit Bank Bulgaria, ProCredit Holding seeks for an a highly analytical, motivated and collaborative Senior Specialist Internal Audit to join our Group Audit team, with the position being based in Sofia.
Senior Specialist Internal Audit
As a member of the Group and PCH Internal Audit team you will be involved in the whole spectrum of internal audit activities of an international banking group. You will enhance and protect organizational value by providing risk-based and objective assurance, advice, and insight. Moreover, ProCredit Holding's Group Audit team provides centralized oversight, methodology, and quality assurance for the independent internal audit functions across all individual ProCredit Holding group institutions.
More specifically, you will have the following key responsibilities and duties:
- Act as a key member of the audit team and take responsibility for the successful execution of audits across ProCredit Holding and ProCredit Bank Germany.
- Analyze and evaluate processes, products, and projects, with a particular focus on risks, the adequacy of controls, and their operating effectiveness.
- Assess compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal requirements.
- Identify risks, evaluate their significance, and develop practical recommendations together with the audited units.
- Prepare concise and meaningful audit reports for senior management and supervisory authorities.
- Monitor the timely and effectiveremediation of deficiencies identified during audits (Follow-up)
- Drive the development of audit methodologies and contribute to the digitalization of the audit process.
- Work closely with stakeholders responsible for implementing corrective actions and help strengthen Group Audit's role as a trusted and competent partner within ProCredit Group.
What we expect:- University degree in economics, business administration, accounting, audit, or another related subject.
- At least three to five years of professional experience in an auditing firm or the internal audit department of a credit institution/financial service provider
- A good understanding of bank processes and knowledge of MSME (micro, small and medium enterprise)/ or retail/ or project finance banking products/ or payments
- Strong knowledge of relevant European, and international regulations and standards. Experience in dealing with German legal and regulatory requirements is a plus (e.g. German Banking Act (KWG) and Minimum Requirements for Risk Management (MaRisk)).
- Strong analytical thinking and sound professional judgement
- A high degree of social competence and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and assimilate new concepts
- A proactive, thorough, and independent way of working
- An excellent command of English in speaking and writing
- Computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint; databases and programming are an advantage)
- Flexibility and willingness to travel on short-term assignments
