Job Overview:
Security Governance Expert responsible for developing and maintaining security governance frameworks, policies, standards, and controls, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and the consistent implementation of security requirements across the organization.
Role Insights:
- Develop, maintain and continuously improve the security governance framework and related documentation.
- Define and maintain group-wide policies, standards, principles, guidelines and minimum security requirements.
- Translate strategic and organizational objectives into clear and actionable security requirements and controls.
- Ensure consistency and applicability of security requirements across different organizational units and environments.
- Monitor changes in relevant standards, regulatory expectations and industry practices and assess their potential impact on the organization.
- Support the development and implementation of governance processes, control frameworks and operating models.
- Establish clear ownership, responsibilities and governance mechanisms for security-related requirements.
- Support the assessment of compliance and implementation maturity against defined requirements.
- Identify gaps, dependencies and improvement opportunities and coordinate their resolution with relevant stakeholders.
- Work closely with security, technology, legal, risk, compliance and business teams to ensure that governance requirements are practical, consistent and implementable.
- Provide expert guidance and advisory support to local teams and management on governance-related topics.
- Support internal and external audits, assessments and assurance activities by providing relevant governance documentation and evidence.
- Contribute to the continuous development of the organization's security strategy, governance model and control environment.
- Promote a consistent security-by-design and governance-by-design approach across organizational initiatives and transformation programs.
What Makes You Unique:
- Several years of professional experience in security governance, information security, IT governance, risk or compliance.
- Strong understanding of security management systems, governance frameworks, standards and control environments.
- Experience in developing and maintaining policies, standards, procedures and minimum requirements.
- Ability to translate complex requirements into clear, practical and actionable controls and guidelines.
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking combined with a pragmatic, business-oriented approach.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders across different organizational units, countries or business environments.
- Good understanding of audit, assurance, compliance and risk management principles.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and management audiences.
- Ability to work independently, structure complex topics and drive governance initiatives from concept through implementation.
Nice to Have:
- Relevant professional certifications in security, governance, risk or compliance are an advantage.
