Legal Counsel, Legal Directorate - SME and Retail lending

Your role will be:
- Be a trusted legal partner to the Bank’s corporate support functions, including Private Individuals Business, Corporate Digital and Marketing Communication, Microbusiness and other internal teams
- Provide legal support in drafting credit agreements templates and internal documents related to the Bank`s lending activities in Retail, Micro and SME segments
- Provide legal advice on advertising materials and marketing campaigns related to the Bank’s lending products
- Monitor developments in legislation and case law and help turn them into clear internal guidance, policies and procedures
- Represent the Bank in administrative proceedings and court cases related to credit products, excluding legal collection of non-performing loans
- Take part in legal risk management by assessing risks and preparing legal opinions in line with KBC Group policies
- Collaborate with legal colleagues, business teams and the branch network to deliver practical, timely and business-oriented legal solutions
You are the right candidate if:
- You have a Master’s degree in Law and have acquired legal capacity
- You bring at least 2 years of legal experience; experience in banking or financial services would be an advantage
- You feel comfortable working in English, including with legal terminology and documents
- You have good knowledge of consumer protection law and civil procedure law
- You enjoy analysing complex topics, finding practical solutions and bringing fresh ideas to the table
- You communicate clearly, work well with different stakeholders and build strong professional relationships
- You are confident using MS Office and specialized legal software in your daily work.
