Your daily routine would include:
- Performing administrative activities for web and application servers, including installations, deployments, configuration, upgrades, security patching, sanity testing, and maintenance across production and non-production environments.
- Troubleshooting and resolving incidents and technical issues across supported environments and services.
- Monitoring the health and availability of systems and services, performing diagnosis and root cause analysis, reviewing logs, resolving errors, and implementing workarounds when necessary, in line with defined SLAs.
- Planning and coordinating changes, upgrades, and the introduction of new services while ensuring system stability and operational readiness.
- Performing application and system performance tuning and optimization.
- Developing tools and scripts to automate repetitive operational tasks and improve efficiency.
We’ll know you can make it if you have:
- 2+ years of experience in enterprise environments, maintaining, supporting, and deploying applications or systems across production and non-production environments.
- Strong experience with UNIX/Linux and/or Windows-based application environments.
- Hands-on knowledge of web and middleware technologies such as Apache, Tomcat or NGINx.
- Experience with Shell scripting (e.g. Python).
- A university degree in IT, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or another relevant field.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.
Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of or hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, Java, and/or JavaScript.
- Experience with SSL/TLS certificates and certificate lifecycle management.
- Experience with container technologies such as Docker and/or Kubernetes.
