Summary of Role
The Test Lead is required to support the Test Manager for the testing of a number of core business projects to support the Apex business globally.
QA Specialist, required to support the Test Manager for the testing of a number of core business projects to support the Apex business globally. This will include the following areas of activity, but will not be limited to:
Key duties and responsibilities:
Х Develop, communicate and enforce the Test Strategy for allocated projects, ensuring that the pre-agreed Exit Criteria and Quality Gates are achieved;
Х Provide effective test management and guidance to globally dispersed IT and business testers;
Х Be hands on with the ability to assist at any level to achieve project goals;
Х Work with business teams to obtain test results, test evidence and obtain UAT sign off;
Х Ensure that testing is carried out in an auditable, traceable and repeatable manner;
Х Run defect triage meetings and work with relevant team members to ensure that the most important issues are resolved in a timely manner;
Х Ability to work with and communicate at all levels within the organization, from highly technical team members;
Х Ensure that project deliverables are completed within agreed cost, timelines and resource budgets, are signed off;
Х Ensure that all teams adhere to quality guidelines to ensure quality deliverables;
Х Continually contribute to the developing testing process and support the Test Policy with all parties;
Х Proactively aim to achieve personal and team utilization targets;
Х Have good people management skills, acts as a role model for continuous learning and development, challenges others to reflect and learn;
Х Excellent verbal and written communication and stakeholder management skills and ability to build strong working relationships at senior management level;
Х Must be a confident self-starter with a can do, will do attitude and ability act on own initiative;
Х Ability to think outside-the-box and question and challenge other team members;
Х Be able to manage and coordinate globally dispersed technical and non-technical teams;
Х Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effort accordingly;
Х Ability to travel internationally at short notice.
